We have talked about the election in our home a lot this year. We have tried not to paint either candidate in a positive or negative light when we talk about it with the kids. Madison said the other day that she didn't want Barack Obama to win. When I asked her why she said "because he wants parents to turn off the TV and read to their kids", my girl does love TV. She has since changed her mind and feels that parents really should read to their kids. Nathan backs McCain and doesn't really no why. Noah would like to see an Obama/Palin ticket (I think he thinks she is pretty). Nathan and Madison decided to throw their hats into the ring to run for President. Madison's platform was: 1. Do good deeds 2. spend time with your kids 3. help friends
Nathan's platform was 1. be content 2. everybody shares 3. better health care 4. children obey parents 5. give to the needy 6. help the poor 7. don't argue 8. help army 9. lower gas prices 10. suprise parents 11. do not beg for toys 12. watch TV only 1 hour a day
Now that's change I can believe in!
