We live in the Frozen Tundra

Well, we received an additional 3 inches last night to put us over 90 inches for the year. I am certain we will go over 100. It is only the beginning of March. Keep us in your prayers!

Brotherly Love

Benjamin absolutely loves his brother...

Nathan's new interest

Nathan has become quite attached and concerned for the polar bear. Here is one of his new drawings...

A special treat

This will probably not be up here long (Mitch has access to the blog). I hope a few people will get to enjoy his version of "Old Man River".

Will the polar bears survive?

Well, I thought we had taped the Nature program last night--but somehow we missed it. We had to order it this morning so Nathan would be able to watch it.

We broke the record!

The total snowfall for any season in Madison was 72 inches, but we are proud to say that the record was broken this year (poor Mitch has shoveled a lot of snow). On Monday the total was at 79.2. We can now say we have lived through a bad Wisconsin Winter (maybe not through it yet). I'm sure we will still have snow in April. Oh how I love the spring!

Valentine Cookies

Happy Valentines Day!

The kids love any holiday. Today we took a little time off from school to make cookies and talk about what love really is. You can't see the words on the hearts, but each heart has a description of what love is.

Climbing the Stairs

I was talking to Mitch this morning when I heard Benjamin giggle, he was already up two steps. So with careful supervision we watched (and recorded him) climbing up all of the steps.

Thanks Mom

My mom came up this weekend so we could go to a Pastors/Wives retreat. We had a great time at the retreat and enjoyed catching up with other pastors and their wives. Benjamin went with us so we didn't experience a complete retreat. It was still nice. The kids had a great time with Mama Linda. We are thankful that she could come.

Fearless

Madison wanted to do this big hill by herself. Fearless...

More Sledding

In the last video Madison was on the blue sled. This is Nathan. I know I'm laughing alot, but it was really the best time! I felt like a kid again.

Sledding

Freeman Fort

The kids have wanted a snow fort for a long time. I just never seem to find time to build one. Thanks to Mama Linda they now have one. She and the kids spent a greater part of the weekend building a fort and snow sledding area in our front yard. They had a blast playing in the fort and on the snow mounds that have been renamed as mountains. Here are a few pictures.

First Time in the Snow

Benjamin went out in the snow for the first time this weekend. He sled by himself and even went in Freeman Fort a little.

Mama Linda takes on Wisconsin

My mom came up to keep the kids this weekend and had a blast in the snow! She built snow forts and trails for the kids to sled on. Here she is tackling the big hill. It was a blast! (Watch Madison scurry away).
