Today is Madison's 6th birthday. Here's a poem to honor her. I'll post a video later.
Madison
Tender flower, precious smile
Carefree and thoughtful—my, the many thoughts you think;
you add so much sunshine to our home
and also no small amount of pink.
There’s no price in the world that I would pay
no kingdom, nor position, nor foreign land
that I would ever trade for the treasured gift
of holding your precious little hand.
You’re the princess of our home
and all day long you skip and sing and dance
but before too long you’ll soon grow up
and I’ll have missed my last chance
To hear you say “Dance with me, Daddy”
or “I drew a picture for you.”
For when the time comes, your attention will turn
to plans and many adventures anew.
May you never be captured by the glitz of this world
by things that are but a flash in the pan.
May your adorning ever be the hidden person of the heart,
rather than that which is popular with man
Cultivate within your heart an inner beauty that never fades
Resist temptation with all your might,
Desire the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit,
Then you’ll be precious in His sight.
May your heart always exult in the LORD,
and your mouth rejoice in His great salvation,
May you declare to the peoples that “Our God reigns!”
And proclaim Christ crucified to the nations.

that is so special!! I LOVE that you do this. I hope you will get it framed somehow so she can always have this love note! I know it is something I would cherish!
