Last Monday we decided to go on--as Pooh says--an Expotition. We found a little patch of woods that is hidden away in the middle of streets and houses. It was pretty cool. We packed a lunch, went to a park, and then walked through the wooded area.

Books the kids love
These are some books that we've been reading to the kids. They create invaluable opporutnities to talk about sacrifice and investing your life in things that really matter.

Helping Mommy
A Day at the "Zoom"
Noah calls the zoo, "zoom" and has for the past year. Its one of those words you don't really want to correct because it is so cute. Anyway, we have a zoo in Madison that is free all year round. It is not very big, but its a great place for the kids and I to explore wild animals. Today we spent a few hours visiting some old friends we had not seen since last summer. Among our favorites today were the polar bear (who always puts on a show), the penguins, and the new park.

This is an old picture of Benjamin (well, not that old--only ten months ago). But as the saying goes, "they grow up so fast." Follow this link to see a slideshow of some older pictures of our kids. When you get there, remember to click on the "i" in the middle of the screen.

You Go Girl!
Madison has decided that she can ride a bike without training wheels, and anyone that knows her understands that when she finally decides to do something it is a good as done.
Bike Riding
Noah has graduated to Nathan's two wheeler (with training wheels). He does have a helmet now, but wasn't wearing it in this video. What happen to the good old days of riding bikes without helmets? Just kidding, we love safety.

Maple trees & sugar
Today we traveled north of Madison with some friends. We went to a Wildlife Conservatory to learn how sap is extracted from Maple trees and sugar is made. Go to our Flickr photo page and you'll be able to view a slideshow of our pictures. (When you see the slideshow, be sure to float your cursor over the picture and click on the "i" to read details about the pictures.)

Daddy Love
Benjamin loves his daddy. Every day when Mitch comes home Benjamin is the first to greet him. No matter where he is playing he will drop what he is doing and head straight for Mitch as fast as he can crawl. When he gets to Mitch's feet he says "DA DA", stands up and waits for Mitch to pick him up. I have to get it on video it is priceless...
