The air was crisp
the fans were loud.
The players were nervous
and so was the crowd.
Strike one, strike two
then a ball outside the plate.
Who would win?
Victorino or the old Yankee Ace?
Another pitch and then a hit
right up the field
and into a mit
then over to first
and a tag of the base
the crowd went wild and
a smile crept onto Rivera's face.
The Phillies had tried
they gave it their best,
But in the end they fell
just like the rest!
