Trip South

Here are a few pics from our trip south so far. We are obsessed with stopping in DC no matter how tired or hot we are or it is. The last couple of pictures are from a state park in West Virginia, which actually came first, but I posted them last.

Somebody's missing something

Yesterday at breakfast Noah alerted us that he ate something crunchy and then he was missing a tooth. The tooth never did show up, but I think the fairy still might have dropped by.

All Star Game

Today Nathan's All Star team played in Plover, WI. They lost the first two games. In the third game they were behind 0-4 until the bottom of the 4th inning when Nathan and another teammate scored two runs. They went on to tie the game in the 6th inning so the game went into extra innings. In the top of the 7th the opposing team scored making it 4-5. We were home so our team had one more at bat. Two of Nathan's teammates got on base and were at 2nd and 3rd. The next batter got out, then Nathan took the plate. I prayed that God would let Nathan get a hit, Mitch said later he was praying too. I'm not sure if Nathan got a few strikes or not, but the next thing I knew Nathan had a walk off single and the game was over. His teammates surrounded him at first. I was crying, I looked over and Mitch was tearing up. It was a great end to a long day of baseball.

Madison's Birthday

Madison and I had a "fabulous" time at the American Girl Store in Chicago today for her birthday. Thank you everyone who sent her money to go. It was a big day for her and she loved every minute of it. The store itself just swept her up. I think she would be content to go back just to look at it. After we got home from Nathan's baseball game we had pizza and cake. She was a very please 8 year old when she went to bed tonight.
