The kids posed for this picture this morning, I thought it was sweet and had to share.

Matt Kenseth museum

Today we took a short trip to Cambridge, WI to visit the Matt Kenseth museum. He grew up in Cambridge, which is only about 25 minutes from Madison. The kids all enjoyed it. (The little arrows in the bottom right corner allow you to view the slideshow in full-screen mode.)

Mini Golf Family Night

Our kids have started to play a little golf inside after being inspired by the Tiger Woods X-Box game. So we decided to create our own mini golf course tonight for family night. Each one of us made up our own holes and then we took turns playing. It was one of the best family nights we've had in a while. I was asking God all day to help it be fun and to keep the kids from competing. He really answered my prayers. Here are a few pictures from tonight...

And just like that...

Our beautiful 50 degree day is a thing of the past. We got a few inches more of snow last week and we are expecting 4-6 inches tonight through tomorrow. It was fun for Benjamin to get out and enjoy the snow since the temperatures were mild...

A touch of spring

Glory to God who reigns in the Highest! It was 54 degrees today! I know 54 doesn't sound completely warm, but that is a full 70 degrees warmer than it was a few weeks ago. Just last week our lows were below zero several days. Now I don't think this will last, we will be in the 30s by the end of the week, but today was a wonderful day. Here are a few pictures to show our joy (Nathan is not happy to see the snow melt)and yes our reindeer from Christmas is still up. I would never consider leaving Christmas ornaments out when we lived in NC. When we first got here I would ridicule people for leaving their stuff up until April. Now I know why, no one wants to take decorations down when its below zero (I just wanted to say that before you judge us for having a deer up in February).

Noah reads his first book

For some time now Noah has been showing all of the signs of a pre-reader. Asking what signs say, writing his name, asking how to spell words. Last week I decided to teach him how to read a Bob book, these books are great for beginning readers. He soared through the first one, it really boosted his confidence. Here he is reading it...

New Pictures

In the picture where the kids are in their bathing suits I wrote the names of some of their bones on their bodies, they loved it and it was a fun way to learn some of the major bones. Benjamin is now officially obsessed with the movie "Cars", he is watching it while he wears the pajamas in one picture. The rest are just a few random pictures...
